On applied stains versus integral stains on concrete floors ~ Rachel Preston + The Ministry of Architecture

I do not recommend to my design clients that they apply a stain to a finished concrete floor, unless it is an already existing building. Then I have to explain maintenance of these floors, which becomes critical.

Rather, I always recommend that you plan ahead, and pay the small difference for an integral stain.
